Nurture Yourself – In a Peaceful Place

Sunset with beach chairs.webA Peaceful Place

To sit in peaceful contemplation

And feel our heart beat

Brings peace and calming sensations

Each day our feet must wander

Our course set for stars above

For our journeys’ long and arduous

The world lies ahead of me

Just like the moon above

Today, I give ‘THANKS’ for ___________________________

                Today, I succeeded in _______________________________

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

  4. Introspection is a great way to account to oneself FOR oneself…and it does put things into perspective.

  8. I could feel myself there in that picture–maybe with you waiting to watch the moon’s journey… Thanks–it’s just what I needed! Sorry I can’t catch up on all of your posts–I’m just trying to make an effort to let you know I’m still alive, kicking, and thinking of you!

    • Fear not … I am always grateful when you drop by and comment. It can be difficult to keep up. It is my greatest stressor about blogging. I want to go to all of the ones I enjoy and love reading. I’m trying to keep it in prospective – like there is only so much time in a day or life has other wants from us.
No worries … live, laugh and be healthy. xoxo

  9. This goes with the idea of the Awesomeness Jar (gratitude) I posted last January. It is important to be mindful and grateful as a journey progresses toward peace and contentment. Thank you for linking, Izzy! Have a blessed weekend.

    • I’m sure I’ve read it, Becca, but give me the url for I’d love to give it a 2nd read. I’ll link I to this one, too.
I’m not a fan of the word – awesome – I think it’s been over used but in this case it could be the perfect substitute for gratitude.

  11. Delightful as always Issy!
Was it from you I got the idea of a gratitude jar? Not sure, but anyway I’m keeping one this year!

    • A marvelous idea, Gilly, to keep a Gratitude Jar. It wasn’t from me that you had gotten the idea.
I had a gratitude jar, years ago, when a clay artist made a jar that looked like a honey jar and
inscribed the word Gratitude on it. She had lots of people purchase it as it was a wonderful way
to express our appreciation for life. Good for you in having one.
Thanks for always enjoying my nurture posts.
