Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel

         free and unhampered

             but a maze of passages,

through which we must seek our way,

           lost and confused,

            now and again

              checked in a blind alley.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

    • I forgot to mention — I love the new header (or new to me — my phone doesn’t always pick up such detail) — but my laptop showed me right away “there’s something different”!

    • Incredibly complimentary, Rommel. There are no ‘THANK YOU”S’ large enough to express my gratitude. This is a comment I can return to when I’m having a frustrating photo taking day. Gracias and please come back for a visit again.
      Have a GREAT weekend. 😄😄

  7. That’s quite an intriguing combination of a beautiful picture and verse.

I am left wondering as to what is it each one of us needs to do to shift out of the ‘lost and confused’ state as we go through life? Put another way, what is it that makes us feel like a ‘thrown dice’, caught up in unfolding events, clinging onto the ways from my past but yet failing to call the shots? It is in finding answers to these questions that we could make the shift mentioned above.

    Thanks

    • You’re comment opens up a great many questions. It’s a journey – no doubt about that – which way our road opens up before determines the struggles and the suffering we will experience. If we are seekers and search to learn how to be wise and travel the road of least resistance; perhaps, we can arrive at our final destination with the least amount of pain and uncertainty as possible. If not, we are forced to continue the heartaches that life puts in our path. There are no easy answers. It’s a question that even the sages can only speculate. But, they’re speculations leave us pondering from their wise words.
Thank You, Shakti, for your inspiring and thought provoking comment. Your visits are always a stimulation in my mind.
