Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.
I think it’s funny that my generation, which grew up with disco in our high school and college years, don’t like disco anymore. Thus, we renamed the genre from “disco music” to “dance music.” Even Cher got involved in 1998 or so with her “Believe” CD, which was nothing but disco music renamed dance music.
There are a great many trends that die out in time but, I think, DISCO will be around for a long, long time. The new generations will see what FUN it can be to hear and dance to. Every cruise I take has a DISCO dance club. It’s always super crowded with people of all ages. Everyone is up dancing and no one cares about doing it correctly. Who doesn’t want to go somewhere to dance and walk out HAPPY ???
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your very insightful comment. 😊
I think age is insignificant. It’s how you feel as opposed to what age you are. The disco video was an accompaniment to the post. I love all types of music. As a former dancer, ballet, tap and jazz in addition to ballroom, disco, salsa, hip hop, etc. music has no limitations in my portfolio. I listen to opera, classical, jazz … well, everything that’s been put out there. I don’t associate music with age. In fact, the word age isn’t in my vocabulary. I live because I can. Enjoy life and the music it palys in our day to day.
Thanks for the dialog. It’s been a blast !!!! ~~~~ : – )
Your welcome … for the memories!!! Disco music seems to make everyone smile whether they were from that era or not.
Glad it brought a smile for you. ~~~~ : – )
