Take my Hand – Believe in Love
Take my hand
and walk with me
in quiet places;
where butterfly wings
create a melodic song.
🌻
Sing and play
in secret meadows;
where grasses sway
with soft summer breezes
from dusk to dawn.
🌻
Share with me
a simple life
of placid days
and starry nights;
where we can lie
on yielding grasses
while waiting for
the morning light.
🌻
Take my hand
and dance with me,
until stars twinkle
brightly in your eyes.
For simple pleasures
love can hold;
even when
winter’s edge grows bold.

I appreciate the love vibe in your comment, Sylvia. I’m a hopeless romantic. I had considered a different color for the image but kept going back to this one. It was meant to be. Love isn’t always fiery red and hot. Sweet and romantic is part of love. ~~~~ : – )

So lovely and peaceful — blurring the frame into the picture gives it a soft, gentle, timeless feeling. Nicely done! And I enjoyed the poem; we all need more love and quiet places. 🙂

My thought in blurring the edges of the frame was to showcase how fragile love can be and how gentle it can be when it touches us. I’m pleased you like it and saw my thoughts in the process. Yes, we all need to quiet our minds and go inside.
Thank you, Meg, for visiting and leaving your insightful comment.

What beautiful post Issy, I like the art and the poem is a perfect peace bringer. ‘Lie on yielding grasses while waiting for the morning light’ is my favourite part, blissful!
Fun video too 🙂

Blurring the edges, for me, was a metaphor for how delicate and fragile love is. When I grew up in the city my favorite outings were to a park that had grass. I could place a blanket in it and lie there for hour. It’s a soothing peaceful feeling.

As Philip and I are embroiled with buying one home, selling another, and him split between east and west coast, your wonderful poem makes me pause and remember why we’re putting ourselves through all this pandemonium. We are lovers in love and are starting a new life together. 🙂

To have a loving hand to hold as we travel through our journey of life keeps us grounded. All day to day issues disappear when the face of love walks through the door. Our hearts flutter with joy because we know that all will be well now. Every chaotic path before us will soon be behind us. It’s staying fiocused with the heart that touches ours that keep us calm.
May your path be covered with very few obstacles. May they be small pebbles you can look back on and smile at how tumultuous you thought they were.
Much success and love along your new journey with the love of your life. ❤

Awww … very nice of you to say, Lorna. It’s the huge amounts of books I’ve read, in hope of becoming whole, that seem to flow when I write about nurturing oneself. I *blush* at your beautiful complimentary comment. ❤ hugs ❤
