Gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint and the soil and sky as canvas.
~~~ Elizabeth Murray ~~~
When the time has come for precious flowers to leave us,
they play a cherished symphony of shades of color for us to further enjoy.
Too often our fear of endings grasps our emotions
We banish them to the disposable world
And their beauty ends too soon.
Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.
      I’m fascianted by the stages of a flower as it starts to fade. The colors somehow seem more intense. I’m so pleased, Sylvia, that you can see the beauty in them fading too. 😊
  7. We had a little rain with wind and the leaves were falling. The gentle drops and rattling of the screens did make music. 🙂
    • There is sound in silence as Simon and Garfunkel once sang about. Raindrops can produce a percussion rythm of music. An insightful comment you’ve left here. Thank you for popping over and leaving it. 😍
      • Thanks for posting the song. I love the sound and the lyrics. I turned on computer, sorted through the notifications and just clicked on a lovely sound. So easy. Saved me from searching. 🙂
      • The line that sticks out in my mind from this song has always been … “and the people bowed and prayed, to the neon God they made”…., for some reason that line reminds me of the misguided souls who have gotten so caught up in ‘stuff’, they have forgotten about the wonders of nature, and in some cases, I sometimes think, their own humanity.
