Serenity 2015©photography by Isadora
Because of our daily stress filled lives, we need to create a quietly calm
and peacefully still place where we can feel tranquility.
Whether you meditate or not the focus is to clear your mind of thoughts.
Our imagination can help us with this very difficult task of relaxing
by providing us the ability to dream of magical places.
I love to visualize a garden filled with flowers of every imaginable color.
It’s an image that can make anyone smile.
Nurturing yourself at the end of the day can help with better
peaceful relaxing sleep for better health.
Can you imagine a place of serenity?

You’ve described the feeling perfectly, Patti. When you sit there it feels like a little hiding place where you can read, observe nature or close your eyes and quietly feel serenity. 🙏

This is a beautiful post, I used to imagine a lake and I’m floating, feeling the cold of the water on my back, and the heat of the sunshine on my face. Long time I haven’t done it, next time I’ll imagine a garden like you suggested.

A garden can be a quiet place to sit and complete. Floating on water can take us back to the very beginning of inception.
Serenity comes from wherever we can find quiet peace. Thank you for your very nice comment, Elizabeth. 🙏

I agree with the other comments–perfect picture for the theme of this post, Izzy.
A place of serenity? I knew one–lying down next to Scrappy and petting him. I’m going to have to find another one, huh?

Yes, there will be another place where you will find your feeling of serenity. No one or thing can replace your Scrappy but peace and quiet will come in a spot he will send you to. Namaste 🙏

Ahh, the gentle swaying of moss lifts my spirit, and reminds me of home. So wish it would be considered part of the norm to teach meditation at an earlier age … what amazing benefits for the individual lives as well as collective body of individuals. Namaste, Issy~~

I think a great many would find it helpful and beneficial to learn how to quiet the mind and go within. Trees with benches are my favorite places to sit and contemplate besides the beach. The birds flying bring a peaceful quiet like no other. I, too, enjoy the moss swaying in the breeze. I think it’s the reason I enjoyed New Orleans – in addition to jazz – when we’ve visited there. Namste 🙏

This is one of many serene places on the grounds of a very famous home … now, museum … in Sarasota, Florida. Mabel Ringling created the most exquisite garden grounds for her guests to enjoy while visiting. I love going to go there and imagine what it would have been like to sit quietly among these trees. Thank you for your kind comment. I am quite touched. 🙏

You’re welcome. I often wonder the same about Maymont’s wonderful gardens and what it might have been like 100 years ago when first established.

What a lovely photo! When I imagine myself in places of serenity, I am more likely to picture myself walking through them rather than sitting; but that bench looks like a very inviting place to stop and rest during a hike!

I, too, love to wlak through garden paths. They are quiet and peaceful. My knees have a short attention span lately and want to sit. I am at a point that I listen to them as I am concerned about falls. 😀
This is a serene garden spot created at the home/museum of Mabel Ringling in Sarasota, Florida. A place I frequently visit for its’ magnificent gardens festooned with benches shaded by magnificent trees. I’m happy you enjoyed viewing this photo. 🙏
