We all have a light.

Let’s let it out to shine.

As the lyrics say – ‘We are not the mistakes our families have made.

We carry negative thoughts at times based on how our family dynamics were.
We had no control over that but we have control over how we are today.

Right now, make a pledge to discard those feelings
and let the best light in you shine.

We don’t have to compare ourselves based on how someone else looks.
Let’s be proud of our skin color,

how our hair manages in those day to day situations.

It’s kinky, it’s straight – no matter

we have a bright light to shine.
