Friday Fictioneers – Fed Up
Determined, Josephine woke at 5 a.m.
Saturday would mark her freedom day.
She felt battered.
No one could or had helped her.
They all said, “Be Patient”.
Right!
She grabbed her backpack, some rolls and water.
Woof looked at her with weepy eyes.
He’d been her constant friend and companion since birth.
As a baby, the word Wolf was hard to say. So,Woof it was.
Josephine got out of the house, without notice.
She always felt invisible.
Except at school, where the bullying felt unbearable.
Finally, she reached the tracks.
Without turning, she knew.
Woof was behind her.

What a nice start to this great adventure of writing.. Bullying is terrible, and sad she had to leave, wonderful background to the name of the dog

I suppose I could write a little story about them and seee if they make it. There are a great many possibilities in fiction.

Welcome to Friday Fictioneers. Kids can be so cruel…to say that is almost cliche but I remember going through some of that as a kid. You don’t just outgrow the pain. Well done. I hope to read more from you.

If you felt the narrator pain then I am pleased. I was trying to get the heartache of bullying across to the reader.

Izzy, go to Rochelle’s post. Right by the blue add-link thing is a line saying “get the InLinkz code.” Click on that. You then have to sign in to InLInkz or create an account. Once you’re in, choose which sort of blog you have. Copy that information and go to your post and go to “text” or whatever the tab is at the top of the post that isn’t “visual.” Paste the InLinkz info at the bottom of your post. That should bring up the blue froggy guy when you’re back on visual. Save and publish.
I hope that’s clear. It used to be easier because you didn’t have to sign in, but once you get it, you’ll be fine. Let me know if you have a question or it doesn’t work.
