Owning our own story helps us to be present in our lives.
Simply being present is a gift we can use to nurture ourselves.
When we can go deep inside our thoughts and feel heartbreak
~ the heartbreak which we have hidden ~
then, we can open up to feeling love.
A love you will give to yourself completely.
Looking for it outside of yourself is futile until you have nurtured yourself.
Look in the mirror.
See yourself.
As a child, is this who you thought you were going to be as a teen?
As a teen, is this the adult you thought you were going to be as an adult?
Have you met your expectations?
If not, do whatever you have to do to be the YOU
~ you want to be ~
Be in your own story.
In Love and Light …. Isadora

Beautiful quote Isadora and a great post. I am happy, the happiest I have been in a long time. I can’t put my finger on why or what has changed maybe its my mindset and how I deal with the challenges that come my way.

I think as we get older we tend to accept more of what’s happening to us as just being what it is. Struggling to change others or situations seems to make life more difficult. I’ve put less pressure on myself to be perfect. I could actually feel a huge burden lift. Now, I do what I can and don’t feel badly if I don’t do it all. The pressure I always felt before is lighter.
Is that maturity? Is that aging? Is that wisdom? I don’t know. It just seems right and feels right. 😁
I’m grateful you enjoyed this post. I think the video had a powerful message both in the words of the song and in the visual statements in the photos.
Thank you for your supportive visits and comments. 🙏

Turning toward yourself–looking inside–is an act of courage even in good time (and especially in difficult times). We tend toward, as you say, turning outward and missing the rich world inside–the place where everything meaningful happens.
The song you chose is really powerful. Who is the artist and what is the song? I love it!

I’m a bit behind on my responses. I agree that it takes courage to look inside of yourself. Growth can only happen if we see those little or big issues that are hidden inside and face them. We never stop growing emotionally we just begin to accept ourselves and acknowledge who we are and loved it. 🙏
The artist in the song is Beyonce. She is a very strong singer. This song has a good strong message. The words are compelling.
I’m happy you loved this one a lot. Thank you, Lorna, for your supportive visits and comments all the time.
Namaste ❤ 😻 ❤
