Sitting alone listening to the silence … I ponder that …. today is a day like any other day.
Each day, we rise and hope to fill our lives with new and exciting discoveries.
Each of us has a different vision for what those discoveries are going to be.
In the end, despite what our own individual discoveries turn out to be, we all have to go into them in pretty much the same way. We have to rise and gather up our energy to go into whatever it is we are going to do. Some of us have an exact plan on how to do that; some of us don’t. Those that do not have an exact plan face the greatest difficulty because they have no direction.
How do you find your exact plan??? I can’t say.
Is it something you develop as you’re being raised by your parents?
Are the teachers or religious leaders of your church part of the influence for your direction?
Is it instinctual to know what you want to search for in your adventure to your discovery?
Is it important to have a need for discovery or is it something told to us that we must do?
These are important and very difficult questions to ask ourselves. These are questions that some of us can’t answer and struggle daily to unravel. This is the puzzle of our existence.
Just pondering …. while sitting alone listening to the silence.

Namaste
I honor the place in you
in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you
which is of Love, and of Truth,
of Light and of Peace.
When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me.
We are One.

Hello Isadora, I love to listen to the silence too. So many answer we can get from it. Plans, the result isn’t always the way we want, so it’s better let go of plans and enjoy the moment. Have a great weekend!

When we’re silent we can hear more of what we need to hear. Thank you, Elizabeth, for your loyal visits.

This is a simple, and lovely post to ponder, Issy! The message is simple, but the direction of impact in ours lives profound! ❤

Today is a day unlike any other because it is fresh and new and I take comfort in knowing what’s past is past and that I start from a clean slate each morning. I believe we all come from that all-knowing place of peace. When we show a little kindness to ourselves and others or when other’s kindnesses are extended to us, we experience what we came here for; to share a little happiness with one another and become that one love, for however long our breaths continue.

A wonderfully reflective comment, Elizabeth. Quiet time for meditating and pondering thoughts can be illusive in this day and age. Commitments
and responsibilities can make our time limited. We should try to give ourselves a small moment in time to reflect and calm ourselves.
I agree with starting fresh each new day.
Perhaps, you’d like to read a story of compassion taught to me by my father. https://insidethemindofisadora.com/2015/09/26/poverty-and-hunger/

Time for nurturing is important, in whatever way you choose to nurture. For me, it’s walking outdoors whenever possible, taking time to sit with a cup of tea and just relax or read. This morning, I’m heading for half a day of work, so no time to do more than some morning stretches, eat, and read a few posts. 🙂 I also get what I need Sunday mornings at church as well as through Bible reading and study.
Happy weekend to you, Izzy.

Quiet time to sit and ponder in this day and age is difficult. A walk outdoors is always a blessing. Nature is always presenting new
gifts for us to see. A peaceful way for reflection. Thank you, Janet, for sharing your quiet moments.
