Standing on the pier, I see you floating in the far distance. Little sailboat, you’re calling me.
Beckoning, you cry out, I travel upon the open sea. We can sail away wherever the winds take us. We can move, aimlessly, along the coasts to find new passages and adventures. Each day, my little sailboat, will take me to magical islands filled with peaceful bliss. Where rest and solace are key. A life on the ocean that’s relaxed and carefree; full of mirthful blithe.
Can you feel the salty water on your sturdy bow?
Are the gusts of the wind kissing your sails with tender delight?
I can feel the oceans breeze blowing its’ moist salty air upon my face with a special caress only for me.
Soon, we’ll find those enchanting islands. They lie somewhere. They’ll embrace me with islanders waving a welcome.

Such beautiful imagery in your story, Isadora. I can smell the briny ocean and feel the breeze on my face whilst reading this. How wonderful to reach those enchanted isles. Wonderful story.

I think I was a silaor in a previous life. I enjoy being out on a boat traveling fast with the salty air hitting my face,
Ironically, I can’t swim and, yet, I always enjoy the freedom that being out at sea brings. I hope I can continue
to enjoy those moments. They’re mesmerizing. I’m pleased you enjoyed another of my flash fictions.

I agree that being out at sea is an awesome feeling. The sea itself holds mysteries untold. I enjoyed your story very much. 🙂

Wjen I lived up north, a friend lived in a house on a lake. You could see sailboats and small crafts floating in the distance.
The view was peaceful and calm. I enjoyed those visits very much. They’ve both passed on but the memories of those days
lingers still. I’m happy your enjoyed my reminiscent story. 😍

A bit of melancholy in this prose; for the summer is ending and fall begins.
Your comments warm my heart. Thank You.

Guess what. The photo did not show up on my screen until AFTER I had typed and sent my comment. Sorry Izzy, the photo is there.

I had that issue last week. I’d post or be reading a blog post somewhere but the photo would not show.
If it happens again can you let me know? Thank you.
Yes, I always put the image because I work off of it. If my story doesn’t unfold properly than the reader
can look at the image. But, a nice reminder nonetheless.

I don’t think it is you, I think it is my iPad (I work off an iPad). It happens on occasions where I can’t see the photo until after I comment. This was one of those times.

My iPad would show a little box where the picture was suppose to be so I would at least know a picture is there, but your post didn’t have that for me, so that’s why I didn’t think there was the photo there.

It must be winters bleak approach I seem to be feeling from those that have winter approaching.
The sea is always calling me. I must have been a sailor once. LOL

My favorite thing to wear when I lived in a cold climate – New York. haha Now, I wear fuzzy socks and a warm scarf to keep the air conditioning chill away. haha My hubby has a good laugh. Keep me posted on how the temps progress with some posts and pix’s.

Yes, Florida. We have Spring, Summer and Autumn(without the leaves changing color). Our winters aren’t winters as the temps only get down to about 45 – 50 at night. During the day, it’s between 65 – 70. Not exactly, BRRRR weather. LOL

I was in Phoenix at the end of August and I had to wear coats because their air conditioner was freezing me out!

That’s me … air conditioning seems colder than winter. LOL
Anyway, yes, we do have similar weather to Phoenix but we have lots and lots of humidity.
But, humidity keeps your skin moist which helps to delay wrinkles. hahaha I made that up but I like
the humidity. 😄

Haha! That’s a good reason to have humidity! We don’t have humidity in the southwest (including Phoenix). It is dry!
