Under an umbrella of controversy, Bob Dylan, wins the 2016 Nobel Prize In Literature.

This prolific singer-songwriter and musician has been performing his music since the 1960s.
He’s the first American to receive the Nobel Prize since Toni Morrison in 1993.
He will receive his award on December 10th in Stockholm at age 75.

“Dylan earned the prize “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition,” according to the citation by the Swedish Academy, the committee that annually decides the recipient of the Nobel Prize. Awards are very subjective. It’s about the persons deciding the winners. His being awarded this nobel prize has opened up a great many doors. A rebel without knowing it, once again. Have a great week, Gerry. Hope you’re well and healing from your sadness.
