It was one of those unspeakable moments; the one you never want to happen. When eyes meet and sparks ignite.
Veronica was married; so was he. Yet, each time they were in a room together, flames stirred. She did her best to stay clear of wherever he was. But, it was impossible.
Their kids were in 2nd grade class together; the same activities. The possibility they’d often see each other was overwhelming.
He was approaching. Dark chocolate eyes glared at her.
She realized what she was about to feel.
Intense Passion.
Could she keep her composure?
She knew.
She must.

That’s not an easy situation for her to be in! I hope she manages to keep on fighting the attraction. Nicely done. 🙂

Thank you, Fairy. I’m not sure what I’ll do with this story but it looks like there is some interest in
perhaps a future chapter.

What a terrible situation to be in, and yet I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t look forward to it, just a little. Great portrayal of how powerful and irrational attraction can be!

I’m sure it happens often. Innocent attractions turrn into passion. The lack of marriage pressures can be alluring.
I enjoy playing in unknwon waters with the characters. Joy, thank you for your very nice comment and visit.

I agree that it happens often, especially if you make the situation broader and think more generally about being attracted to someone who’s not good for you. Recognizing that it happens and then keeping it in check, now that’s the challenge! Have fun playing in unknown waters with your characters –that’s a great way to put it. 🙂

I really like this Isadora! A feeling that many married couples probably feel once or twice in their married life but hopefully, their passion for each other is squelched. Great story!
