A Toast to the #New #Year 2017

I’m sitting alone listening to the silence

… I ponder that ….

Today is a day like any other day.
Each day, we rise and hope to fill our lives with new and exciting discoveries.
Each one of us has a different vision for what those discoveries are going to be.

I hope 2016 was a good year for you, filled with magnificent life changing events that created wonderful discoveries and memories.
Tonight, midnight bells will echo in the birth of 2017.
A new year to create a better life than the one we had last year.

No need to make resolutions of what 2017 will hold for us. Simply believe that day after day something new and exciting will happen. It may not be what you expect or want or are wishing for, but a day above ground is a blessed one.
This is the puzzle of our existence.

Whatever way you want to look at life, the main thing to remember is that you are not alone. There’s always someone guiding you in whatever form you choose to believe. Take comfort in knowing that the challenges you’re given are because you can endure them; no one gets what they cannot conquer.

Music and dance are ever present in my life. It’s been my savior during the worst and best of times. Perhaps this year, you may want to listen to your life’s music. I know that it’s the only thing I’ll focus on. The rest is out of my hands.

Life’s Music
Learn to listen for the song …
There’s music to everything in the Universe …
It’s in the changing season’s …
In the beat of your heart …
In the cycles of joy and pain …
Don’t resist it.
Follow the humming of your heart.
Flow with it and become part of the rhythm itself
Listen for your own “Life’s” music …

Thank you, my blogging friends and followers, for helping to make my spectacular year of growth.
In Light and Love,
Isadora 😎

This is a line from a “Letter to P’ie Ti” by the 8th century High Tang poet Wang We.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

  1. I can’t make resolutions because I like to be spont. I have to agree every day above ground is a blessing. 🙂 The aches and pains of age come with the territory. Enjoyment, happiness, and many more days above ground to you! 🙂

  2. I really love what you wrote there, Issy. Straightforward! And I agree with you. At the end of the day, it’s about living for the moment that matters not to the resolutions listed on a piece of paper or typed on a note or word document. To be honest I’m more of that type of person: spontaneous! I just love being it.

    Cheers, Issy!

Love the positive yet contrasting songs at the end. The first one sort of made me stop and sit awhile to reflect on things. The other one just made me feel like I should be happy all the time like it made me dance to its groovy beat.

  3. Izzy, you are so beautiful, inside and out! ❤ 🙂

    • Blushing at your kind words, my dear friend. I dislike taking photos but I need to update my gravatar ( old one from 2007). I’m still searching for the right one. 🙄
How are you, dear heart? Hope you are well and that your holidays were blessed in every way. May your year 2017 be filled with joyful laughter, good health and more LOVE than your heart can hold.
      Happy New Year 2017 🎉 Cheers 🍷

      • I’m good, Izzy. Been very busy editing a long book from an author in the UK. She’s releasing it soon. It’s the first in a trilogy (fantasy is the genre) and she’s so happy with my work that I think I’m already hired for the next one! But I’m not one of those people who thinks she can multi-task. I know I can’t. So while I was editing, that was pretty much all I was doing.

I’m using this time to catch up on all my blogger pals who I miss a lot!

        • I’m really happy to hear the editing portion of your writing interests have been successful. AND … why not??? you’re great. I’m finding it difficult to keep up lately with my 2 blogs. I want to do many things besides writing. Time is my arch enemy. Be well … when you’re back to writing I’ll pop over. I miss you’re humor. No one does it like you. Hugs to Fonzie. Hope he’s been a joyful companion for you. Hugs …. Izzy 😍
