Despite the severe high temperatures of the mid 90’s here in Florida,
a drive to our local marina / park in Punta Gorda is a nice way to cool
off while enjoying everyones activities.
The marina / park is a spot where children can play in one of the water spout areas
while adults can go fishing, ride a bike or enjoy a relaxing walk on a scenic path.
We’d been admiring the sailboats swaying on the calm blue water.
A young gal began flying this colorful kite in the grassy field
directly behind the bench where we were seated.
It soared high while fluttering the edges of its’ wings.
It was mesmerizing to watch.
The colorful kite was peacefully meditative.
A bit of artistic imagination with my photo created
this marvelous image that reminded me of the old fashioned
post cards I used to pick-up when vacationing.

Thank you for commenting on your visit here today.
I enjoyed watching the kite flying as much as I did
as a child when I used to fly them. I was never very good.
I blame it on being short. LOLOL

There should be some kind of movement to bring back activities that get us out there exercising.
BUT … yes, as funny as it is devices seem to be the top priority of many.
You have a SUPER week …

I was having a bit of fun with the edit program.
Post cards from the 60’s were unique in their design. I wish I had saved them. I’m glad you enjoyed it, Gilly. Have a great week …

I’m happy 😃 summer came shining through. It was a really bright sunny day. Seeing the kite flying reminded me of days of flying kites at the beach with my kids. I wish kids would do more fun things like that now-a-days. Thanks for your thoughts on the editing. I was experimenting. It was fun.

Yes – we saw kite-fliers last month and I was surprised there were not more out there!
All on devices under a tent – kidding
Have a nice day
