Inside the Mind of Isadora

A Peaceful Sanctuary

Colombia - La Popa Court yard.web‘La Popa’ Church Courtyard – Cartagena, Colombia

Bright azure skies,
crimson flowers.
A peaceful spot
to sit for
hours and hours.

Soft, muted moments
to gather calm,
in restful simplicity.

An unobtrusive sanctuary,
on a summer afternoon.
A painting
for our eyes
to glimpse upon.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

  1. such a nice location and the words were well laid out.
The one part that really spoke to me – was the sitting for hours and hours

there are times to enjoy something in spurts – but to know that kind of relaxing is a gift –

  7. Like Janet said, I think I could sit there for most of a morning or afternoon. Peacefulness exudes from your lovely poem, Izzy. xo
