through breeze tossed curtains.
A glow flickers,
in the darkness of the night.
I can feel you.
A gentle touch that tingles my body,
emotions awaken within,
a spirit that remembers.
Illusions of another time,
put to rest as,
heat burns my skin
and fire rakes the inside of my soul.
A musky scent of passion,
surrounds us like a wall.
Jasmine is in the air.
Filling the room, my senses,
desire reigning everywhere.
Moonlight creeps again,
into the darkened room,
Bodies burn with sweat,
from an afterglow of lust.
The forbidden fruit,
nourishing, an eternal memory.

Thanks, Dale. I must admit I’m a hopeless romantic. I think love should be perfected like fine wine 🍷 or a sumptuous meal. Then, devoured in fragrant small portions lasting a lifetime. Happy Valentines Day 😍

And love without passion … what do we have?
Glad you thought it had the right amount of passion as I was going for that, Bjorn.
Thank you for your wonderful comment.

Some blog friends have memorable birthdays. I remember because of Mardi Gras. But, you’ve added some great birthday posts too. I remember the one of you with a photo of yourself as a small boy.

Glad that the sexuality of passion came through, Gah. It was my intention to get people to that place.
Yes, I discontinued posting there. They may not even exist with those opinions being so high on their list.

Izzy, I watched for your story but thought maybe you were skipping this week… here in Israel, it’s already Friday night, and I forgot to check again. Glad you joined! I really love the first two lines; perfection! Somehow, knowing how close you are to your husband, I can’t help but wonder… such a sensual piece, brava!

I usually post on Friday. I’m always late or on time since it is Friday Fictioneers. LOL
I love writing love peoms during the month of February – Valentine’s Day. Yes, we are hopeless romantics. My husband more than me which is a plus for me. I have written many poems for my husband. This has some vignettes. In 2012, I had posted this poem on a site that banned me from writing on their site because they said it was pornographic. HAHA … me … never. I guess I was a litttle too much in love for their taste. Thank you for visiting, Dawn. I know you’re busy loving that little grandson with hugs and kisses. Did you mention his name? I’m sure it’s a good one. Happy weekend … Izzy 😎

His name is Avinoam, pronounced Ah-vee-no-ahm; we think it’s pretty special.
Love that you were banned from a sight, Izzy! Their loss, for sure! xo

I like the name very much, Dawn. I like names that are different. I’m sure
it has a special meaning and befits him. What treasures grandchildren are.
