Inside the Mind of Isadora

Friday Fictioneers – Bring on the Waves

Belinda was the singer in the group. Tonight, her timing was off.

Could it be too much tequila?

‘Mi Pueblo’ had the most delicious margarita’s. She had to have two.

Each failed attempt at singing left her in giggles.

She’d needed this night out with friends.

The car accident had left her wheelchair bound.

She’d been depressed about it again.

Thoughts poured into her head quicker than she could get them out sometimes.

Spontaneously, the raucous group decided on a beach open-air sing-a-long.

They raced to the edge of the ocean.

“Bring on the waves,” Belinda shouted.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of whom I am no matter what venue I choose to express it.

    • Querida Rochelle,
Es verdad. Las amistades nos ajudan a mejorar el espíritu.
It’s a story of hope. I felt that she had a support system of great friends. It’s totally fiction but I think most people have friends they can rely on when they’re down. Gracias, mi amiga.😄

    • Thank You lain. Friends keep us going when we feel we can’t go on. It’s a blessing to have them when we need them. Yes … I felt a bit of hope when I ended the story. It wasn’t intentional but I love that about writing. There are unexpected surprises.
      Have a wonderful weekend … Isadora 😎

  22. Truly gorgeous Isadora… This resonated with me beautifully….. my dear Carole was wheelchair bound for 30 years, but her group of gorgeous friends would often come around, and take her out for a girls night out on the town, the huge happy smile on her face, said it all !!….xxx
