Nurture Yourself – When Things Go Wrong

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you’re the hardest hit
It’s when things go wrong that you mustn’t quit.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

    • Thank you for enjoying the images. The orchid photograph is of one of my orchid plants.
I grow orchids as a hobby. The autumn photograph was taken by my granddaughter who lives
in Albany, New York. She thought I might be missing the changing colors.
Thank you, VivianLea, for visiting and commenting. Have a great weekend …

  5. Beautiful beautiful motivation. Never quitting. Quitting should never be an option.
Thomas Edison once said, “I haven’t failed, I only found 10,000 ways it won’t work.”

Thank you for this inspiring post Isadora.
    Hope you are doing well.

    • I’m pleased I was able to add some inspiration into your daily life.
I think the quote is perfect. There’s a Thomas Edison Museum in Fort Myeres, fla. It’s his home turned into a museum. The home next to it is the Ford home. They were great friends. It’s a must see if you haven’t been to it. During Christmas, it’s a magical world of lights. Have a super weekend … 😎
