Friday Fictiolneers – Wild Mushrooms

Boe was a good ole country boy; rich and handsome too.

After daddy died, he’d had to run the farm. But, he was tired of milking cows and feeding hogs.

Boe took off for college in the big city.

At a party, he met Victoria. Her sapphire eyes captivated him.

Eventually, Boe took her to the farm to meet Mama.

He showed her around the farm. Pointing, she asked, “What’s that?”

“Wild mushrooms in dung. We feed ‘em to the hogs.”

She wrinkled her nose.

At dinner Mama announced, “Roasted hog and wild mushrooms tonight.”

Victoria wrinkled her nose again.
