Autumn is a Second Spring
When every Leaf
is a Flower
While on a cruise for our 50th anniversary, we renewed our vows.
Take my hand and walk with me
in quiet places;
Where butterfly wings create a melodic song.
Sing and play in secret meadows;
where grasses sway
with soft summer breezes
from dusk to dawn.
Share with me a simple life
of placid days and starry nights;
where we can lie on yielding grasses,
while waiting for the morning light.
Take my hand and dance with me,
until stars twinkle brightly in your eyes.
For simple pleasures love can hold;
even when winter’s edge grows bold.
These were the vows my husband spoke:
Life is just existing
Life is worth living.
You put a name on the
Songs birds sing
And, you bring the smell of flowers
To a breezy spring
You are my sun,
You are my moon
My hearts soar’s
With loving wings.
There are so many things I could say about our special day: August 21,1965. We stood before God and said our vows. It was a celebration with family and friends. We were a perfect example of youth with all of the innocence that accompanies it.
Our lack of knowledge gave us freedom from moral wrongs.
We knew one thing only: LOVE.
We thought we were the perfect example of what a life of love should be. We were fearless about what the future would hold.
We had a special bond that held us together: LOVE.
Did we expect to have troubles???
But, trouble is an inevitable part of life. When trouble comes you simply need to hold your head high and face that trouble directly.
There were many; they came often.
You can’t be youthfully naive and not have trouble sitting at your table.
We both felt strong and confident that we’d be able to conquer everything. And, we did.
Those of us who’ve had the joy of celebrating many years of marriage do so with a badge of honor.
Conquering trials and tribulations along with creating joyful and loving moments together are part of how relationships bond together.
What gives us the honor to celebrate so joyously?
Our commitment for a lifetime together.
And, we’ve been.
We celebrate another anniversary with our hearts filled with joyful LOVE.
Enjoy … Isadora
Spring is in the air.
It was a hazy misty morning when I went out on my lanai this early morning. The temperature was warm. I had gone outside to observe the vast nature that is my backyard before attempting my Tai Chi meditative exercises. I’d been unable to do them outside because our temperatures had been a bit chilly. Our cold temperatures in Southern Florida in winter are 60’s during the day and 40’s in the morning and at night.
Now, our spring season has arrived. We’re experiencing temperatures in the mid 70’s in the morning. The warmer weather has brought a great many birds back to our estuary.
On this morning, the break of day showcased a bald eagle majestically flying overhead while a white egret waded in the water swallowing small fish.
The bird feeders I’ve strategically placed on my spring blossoming orchid tree are starting to attract red cardinals, hummingbirds and scrub jays. I can hear tiny chirping from baby birds in the holly berry bush I planted several years ago. They’re waiting for their daily feeding from mama birds who’ve gone hunting. These are panoramic views and sounds that never disappoint nor do I tire hearing.
As the sun breaks through the mist, a shimmer blankets the water on the lake. It’s a hypnotically mesmerizing tranquil place of peace. It’s a time of quiet contemplation before the day ahead. I’m looking at my orchids that are still in bloom while others are forming buds for future blooms. Nature is slowly awakening with all of its’ beauty. I’m enraptured by the many blessings I have.
Today stretches before me waiting to be shaped into the creation I choose to sculpt deciding what shape and form it will be. It will be as unique as me. It is all up to me. I am going to make it a GREAT day. I hope you will, too, unless you have other plans.
My beach has a big umbrella casting shade over my empty chair.
Warm water touches my skin and soothes the ache within.
Palm trees are growing, warm breezes blowing.
Salty air in every breathe taken in.
I picture myself there day after day.
My beach is my haven, my comfort, my care.
At the beach, life is different.
Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment.
We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.
Any peaceful step
even calming your own feelings and emotions
contributes to peace in the world

I read this, “Life is Just a Moment.”
It’s insightful. It’s touching.
The ending has a profound lesson.
Perhaps, because of all the recent events in the news and my personal life,
we need to focus on Living Life in every moment.
A man died…
When he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in his hand.
Dialog between God and Man:
God: “Alright son, it’s time to go.”
Man: “So soon? I had a lot of plans…”
God: “I am sorry but, it’s time to go.”
Man: “What do you have in that suitcase?”
God: “Your belongings.”
Man: “My belongings? You mean my things … clothes… money”
God: “Those things were never yours, they belong to the Earth.”
Man: “Is it my memories?”
God: “No, they belong to Time.”
Man: “Is it my talent?”
God: “No, they belong to Circumstance.”
Man: “Is it my friends and family?”
God: “No son, they belong to the Path you Traveled.”
Man: “Is it my wife and children?”
God: “No, they belong to your Heart.”
Man: “Then, it must be my Body.”
God: “No No… it belongs to Dust.”
Man: “Then, surely, it must be my Soul!”
God: “You are sadly mistaken son. Your Soul belongs to me.”
The man with tears in his eyes and full of fear took the suitcase from God’s hand and opened it…
Heartbroken and with tears running down his cheeks he asked God… “I never owned anything?”
God: “That’s right. You never owned anything.”
Man: “Then? What was mine?”
God: Your “MOMENTS.”
Every moment you lived was “Yours!!!”
Think Good in every moment
Thank God for every moment
Life is just a MOMENT!
I honor the place in you
in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you
which is of Love, and of Truth,
of Light and of Peace.
When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me.
