Tragedy in Orlando

Rose - Blue

They were people like you and me. They left the safety of their homes for an evening of dancing, laughter and fun. It never crossed their minds that this would be the night their lives would end.

When we leave our homes, how many of us think that we’ll never return?

I think, none of us.

Our lives have been changed by a horrific tragedy that happened in Orlando, Florida.

Fifty Forty nine people lost their lives and another fifty-three are struggling in hospitals to survive. Families transfixed on hearing news of whether ot not their family member, child or spouse are okay.

It’s a scenario that’s happening too often.

The losses of innocent people has burdened us with heavy hearts.

I hear these news reports and it paralyzes me. I can’t believe the hate. The lack of human empathy for others who are not like us.

When will this end?

How will it be stopped?

To all who are suffering from this tragedy of lives lost in Orlando:

May your troubled hearts find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone.

May God’s presence ease your trembling spirit and give you rest.

He is there to cast sunlight into all of your darkened shadows,

to send encouragement through the love of friends and family,

and to replace your weariness with new hope.

Blessings to All …

Imagine – Jack Johnson

You’re always creating the person you imagined you were going to be. Somehow, you were derailed for a little while. Life happened. You lost your way. You lost you. It’s time to put it all together. Start by finding the treasure that’s hidden deep inside your heart: Love

Peace—true Peace – Poem by Walterrean Salley

Folks greeting those they meet.
Children playing in the street.
People working hand in hand
For the better of the land.
Atonement with the great I Am.
Lion resting with a lamb.
World leaders shaking hands—
In truth—not because they can.
Sacrificing at all cost
To minimize potential lost.
Such, the face of true peace,
Would bring the world much relief.

May strife and fighting ever cease
And “true” peace be increased.
