I Do Not Love You

I do not love you except because I love you;

I go from loving to not loving you,

From waiting to not waiting for you

My heart moves from cold to fire.

I love you only because it’s you the one I love;

I hate you deeply, and hating you

Bend to you, and the measure of my changing love for you

Is that I do not see you but love you blindly.

Maybe January light will consume

My heart with its cruel

Ray, stealing my key to true calm.

In this part of the story I am the one who

Dies, the only one, and I will die of love because I love you,

Because I love you, Love, in fire and blood. ©Pablo Neruda

Friday Fictioneers – The Ordeal

She hated them. All of them!

They hid behind their masks, worn as a disguise.

She knew what they had in mind. They couldn’t fool her.

With each spasm, an electrical jolt ran through her body.

How much more could she endure?

Aching, throbbing, electrifying pains on every inch of her skin.

She screamed. Her screams meant nothing. They only helped encourage their wretched abuse.

The glint from their eyes, above their masks, along with encouraging words meant nothing to her during these agonizing bloody moments.

When she thought she could endure no more, “A son,” they said.

Serenity – A Walk through Life

Tree Path.web A Walk through Life ©IsadoraDeLaVega

Spend your brief moment according to nature’s law,

and serenely greet the journey’s end as an olive falls when it is ripe,

blessing the branch that bares it and giving thanks to the tree that gave it life.

quote from Marcus Aurelius [philosophers/resources]

Manhã de Carnaval – Al di Meola – Paco de Lucía – John McLaughlin

Letting Go

How can we do that?

We can let go.

We do it by focusing on the positive things in our lives. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. There are times we lose sight of the wonderful person we are.

We look in the mirror and see flaws. We don’t like what we see.

We try to change ourselves into the people we’re comparing ourselves to and try to create that person we see in them.

The negative messages we were told while growing up create hollow spaces in our minds. They carve until they sculpt our emotions. If we look at those negative messages, now, we might not fit into them; yet, still believe them. They’re difficult to erase. They need to be filled in with positive affirmations about ourselves.

Only, we can change those negative messages.

Only, we can start to look at ourselves in order to form the persona we really are.

We can create and develop more of a positive mind.

We can strengthen our positive minds for a better way of being by letting go of those negative thoughts. We need to become real with ourselves by accepting the entire person we are despite what others may think.

We just have to be okay with ourselves.

Heavy Hearts in Christchurch, New Zealand

Once again, our lives have been saddened by the horrific tragedy that occurred in a Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand. The innocent killing of 49 people and the many injured and hospitalized is overwhelming to hear about and to witness on the evening news.

I’m sure none of them went to this Mosque thinking this would be their last day alive. They were there to find peace and to show gratitude for the lives they were living.

A madman decided he wanted to eliminate people he disliked. His reasons far too obtuse to give them any thought.

This was not a madman.

This was someone who wanted to control the way the world should be. He methodically planned all of it. That’s not the mind of a madman. It’s the mind of a man who doesn’t respect human life.  I disagree with calling this  mad man.

The losses of the lives of innocent children and adults has burdened us with heavy hearts.

To all who are suffering from this tragedy of lives lost we send our prayers.

My Wish

Let’s wish people freedom to worship

Let’s wish people healing from pain

Let’s wish people a prayer of comfort

Let’s wish people a gentle touch of good will

Let’s wish people a smile of cheer

Let’s wish people a  peaceful hand to hold

Let’s wish people encouraging days

Let’s wish people a loving hug

Let’s wish for peace to rule the world not hate.

I wish to believe that no matter what life gives us we can have hope.

Wherever, we want to be with a loving hand to help us we can get there.

May your troubled hearts find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone.

May God’s presence ease your trembling spirit and give you rest.

He is there to cast sunlight into all of your darkened shadows,

to send encouragement through the love of friends and family,

and to replace your weariness with new hope.

Blessings, Isadora 🙏

Nobody Walks Alone

Oft’  times when the highway of life seems rough

And all of your dreams have flown,

Just remember, wherever your road may go,

 Nobody Walks Alone

When everyone else has let you down

And under your sins you groan,

Just keep reminding, your burdened heart,

 Nobody Walks Alone

Then suddenly you’ll feel His hand in yours,

And His eyes lifting up your own,

And you’ll hear his gentle, forgiving voice:

 Nobody Walks Alone … !!!

“Ama” is a silent film.

It tells a story everyone can interpret in their own way,

based on their own experience.

There is no imposition, only suggestions.

I wanted to share my biggest pain in this life with this film.

For this is not too crude, I covered it with grace.

To make it not too heavy, I plunged it into the water.

I dedicate this film to all the women of the world.”

Friday Fictioneers – A Spirit that Remembers

Moonlight glimmers faintly,

through breeze tossed curtains.

A glow flickers,

in the darkness of the night.

I can feel you.

A gentle touch that tingles my body,

emotions awaken within,

a spirit that remembers.

Illusions of another time,

put to rest as,

heat burns my skin

and fire rakes the inside of my soul.

A musky scent of passion,

surrounds us like a wall.

Jasmine is in the air.

Filling the room, my senses,

desire reigning everywhere.

Moonlight creeps again,

into the darkened room,

Bodies burn with sweat,

from an afterglow of lust.

The forbidden fruit,

nourishing, an eternal memory.
