Sunday Song – Flight From The City

Although Mother’s Day was on May 12, 2019, my special poem for Mother’s

‘Your Mother’s Always with You’

was added to the BeZine Project Special Mini Edition for Mother’s Day  on May 20, 2019.

This video is a testimony to the strength of a mother. She must have the fortitude and resilience to impart upon her child a confident character in order to let go of her child into the world of whatever may come their way. Yet, she must be there to let them gather strength once again from her quietly warm touch.

A mother’s love is never-ending.

‘Your Mother is always with You’

She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street.

She’s the smell of certain foods you remember.

She’s the flowers that you pick, of the perfume that she wore.

She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day.

She’s the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep,

She’s in your laughter, crystallized in every tear,

She’s the place you came from, your first home.

She’s the map you follow with every step you take.

She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy.

Nothing on earth can separate you,

Not time … Not space … Not even death!

Namaste

I honor the place in you
in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you
which is of Love, and of Truth,
of Light and of Peace.
When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me.
We are One.

Orchid Smiles

Today started with a beautiful gift.

I’ve been growing this orchid plant for 2 1/2 years.

The green stems on the plant, always look healthy but no flowers.

I’d purchased the plant at a garden sale. There wasn’t a name tag or color listed.flower-yellow-orchid-611-webAs I have a great many purple, lavender, pinky purple and white, I was willing to gamble on what

color this one was going to be. BUT …. no flowers for 2 1/2 years.

I fertilized. I watered. I placed it in different garden areas for better light.

Nothing ….

Then, this morning, I was given my gift. These glorious yellow and orangey edged blooms.

I love Mother Nature. She never disappoints.

Have an orchid smiles day ….

Nurture Yourself – with Reflection

zen-zen[1]

When we reflect on our lives we can’t help but include in our thoughts the one person who has had the most influence on us:

‘Our Mother.’

She forms the person we will be from the beginning of conception. We are who we are because of her. Despite the way we may feel about her, she is the major player in the formation of our lives.

There are many teachings a mother gives us.

But, it’s always up to us to put them into effect.

It’s always up to us to be in charge of our decisions.

Sometimes, we ruminate about what we weren’t given. No matter.

For in the end, we fail or forget to see that the final choices are always up to us.

This poem says it eloquently …

Secret Garden – Reflection

Reflections of a Mother…

I gave you life,
but cannot live it for you.

I can teach you things,
but I cannot make you learn.

I can give you directions,
but I cannot be there to lead you.

I can allow you freedom,
but I cannot account for it.

I can take you to church,
but I cannot make you believe.

I can teach you right from wrong,
but I cannot always decide for you.

I can buy you beautiful clothes,
but I cannot make you beautiful inside.

I can offer you advice,
but I cannot accept it for you.

I can give you love,
but I cannot force it upon you.

I can teach you to share,
but I cannot make you unselfish.

I can teach you respect,
but I cannot force you to show honor.

I can advise you about friends,
but cannot choose them for you.

I can advise you about sex,
but I cannot keep you pure.

I can tell you the facts of life,
but I can’t build your reputation.

I can tell you about drink,
but I can’t say “no” for you.

I can warn you about drugs,
but I can’t prevent you from using them.

I can tell you about lofty goals,
but I can’t achieve them for you.

I can teach you about kindness,
but I can’t force you to be gracious.

I can warn you about sins,
but I cannot make you moral.

I can pray for you,
but I cannot make you walk with God.

I can tell you how to live,
but I cannot give you eternal life.

I can love you with unconditional love all of my life
….. and I will.

My Bad – My Apologies

Dear Blog Followers,

This is an open letter to all who have been following my blogs.

Recently, I put my blogs on “Private.”

Inside the Mind of Isadora
Isadora Art and Photography

When I decided to do this it was because I was going to be traveling for many weeks. A few weeks before my travels, I was experiencing a tremendous increase of SPAM. WordPress does have askimet which monitors SPAM. They go into my SPAM folder and are held there.

Then, I delete them. I was getting up to 25 SPAMS a day which meant that I had to go into the folder daily in order to ensure that they were deleted. My train of thought was that in the 3 weeks I would be gone the SPAM would be sitting in the folder causing who-knows-what. I decided to create the “Private” setting to avoid having them do something to my computers.

My Bad …

You see, it made it seem that I was being selective as to who could read my blogs. It wasn’t my intention. I can best explain it as this – It would be the equivalent of my leaving the doors to my home wide open and not expecting someone to go in and cause damage or theft.

These sneaky SPAMMERS were sending vile and graphic ‘XXX’ rated emails in addition to some offensive and appalling material that I prefer not to repeat. My plan on my return was to contact WordPress to inquire about the large amount coming through on my blogs.

My apologies to anyone who I may have been offended with the “Privacy” setting on my blogs. I hope you can understand my quandary about this SPAM issue.
I am back and hope to add more interesting posts for all of you to read and enjoy.

With Deepest Sincerity,
Isadora

When will We – Give Peace a Chance?

Peace—true Peace – Poem by Walterrean Salley

Folks greeting those they meet.
Children playing in the street.
People working hand in hand
For the better of the land.
Atonement with the great I Am.
Lion resting with a lamb.
World leaders shaking hands—
In truth—not because they can.
Sacrificing at all cost
To minimize potential lost.
Such, the face of true peace,
Would bring the world much relief.

May strife and fighting ever cease
And “true” peace be increased.
