carlossantana[1]The first time I heard Carlos Santana he was playing ….. Maria Maria

Influenced by his Latin roots, Carlos Santana is an award winning Hall of Fame guitarist and rock bandleader. H’s been active in the blues and pop song culture for over 40 years.
Santana was born in Autlan de Novarra, Mexico on my birthday July 20, 1947.
His sound is powerful and transports the listener to unimagined heights.

His newest song/video is a collaboration with Jaunes called ‘La Flaca’.

La Flaca Lyrics

En la vida conoci mujer igual a la flaca
Coral negro de La Habana
tremendisima mulata
Cien libras de piel y hueso
40 kilos de salsa
y en la cara los soles
que sin palabras hablan.
que sin palabras hablan.
La flaca duerme de dia
dice que asi el hambre engana
cuando cae la noche
baja a bailar a la tasca
Y bailar y bailar
y tomar y tomar
una cerveza tras otra
pero ella nunca engorda,
pero ella nunca engorda.
Por un beso de la flaca
daria lo que fuera
por un beso de ella
aunque solo uno fuera.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

  3. One of my favorite Carlos Santana / Wyclef collaborations. I think it was the Grammy Awards I saw them perform to an amazed crowd. I use to buy my lunch at a small shop run by three women. They had a signed photo of him at the register. I remember commenting on it one day. I never saw three people light up and smile so much before. At the time his daughter was attending a Catholic school nearby and occasionally he’d stop in and talk with them. Thanks for posting both videos.

    • Yes, Gilly, he is quite handsome. I couldn’t resist putting that photo as opposed to a album cover.
Glad you enjoyed …. I wanted to post a lively song as there’s been too many sad things happening
in the news lately. My spirit needed a lift. Happy dancing …. Issy 😎
