Nurture Yourself – Seek Peaceful Serenity

Because of our daily stress filled lives, especially during the hectic holiday festivities, we need to create a quietly calm and peacefully still place where we can feel tranquil serenity.

Our imagination can help us with this very difficult task of relaxing by providing us with the ability to dream of magical places. I love to imagine a garden of flowers filled with every imaginable color and shape. It’s an image that can make anyone smile.

What about a snow covered mountain or forest? Snow blankets on the slumbering earth. The sun sparkling on the hanging icicles of a cold winters day.

Peaceful thoughts of hearts filled with quiet calm because we could all be one. No labels, no issues, no hostility, no anger. Just wonderful love for all no matter who they may be.

Nurturing yourself at the end of a day helps you achieve an untroubled placid sleep for better health.

If people could be serenely still they would see a positive spin in their life’s situation. Sitting in quiet contemplation, without negative thoughts towards themselves and others can be transforming.

Can you imagine a place of serenity?

In Love and Light

I honor the place in you
in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you
which is of Love, and of Truth,
of Light and of Peace.
When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me.
We are One.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who I am. I just retired from the world of art where I sold my Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who I am no matter what venue I choose to express it in.

I’m thinking 2018 is going to be your year for major changes for you in so many ways. For sure, you
will be more focus on what’s important and eliminating what is not. A great way to clean up unnecessary
things so you can enjoy the ones that are uppermost important for you. Happy New Year … Cheers 🍷🍸

  5. Dear Isadora, wonderful post! This week my top priority is nurturing myself. I’m taking easy and enjoying each tiny moment. A place of serenity for me is a lake, I imagine myself floating in the calm waters of the lake, the sun shining above me making warm and the cold water below me, I feel balance and contentment. Happy New Year my dear friend!

    • Thank you for sharing with me your meditative plans for a nurturing week. One week, turn into two and so on.
The holidays are so difficukt for so many. Instead of feeling alone or without the people or things we desire, I
find seeking peacefulness the perfect way to accept what is.
Water is a part of my Cancer sign. I always find it to be a source of calming for me too. I’ve floated in my pool
in summer (42 degrees now) while facing the sun and the feeling is very freeing. The waters sound is meditative.
You’ve chosen a great way to bring peacefulness into your life.
May the New Year 2018 bring you peace, tranquility and more love than your heart can hold.
