Orange Characteristics
Orange is the color of vitality and endurance. It’s a power color and one of the healing colors. It’s said to increase the craving for food. It stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. People who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere.
Orange Energy
Orange is one of the healing colors. While red is associated with fiery heat, orange is associated with the benign warmth of the sun. A dynamic color, orange offers a more thoughtful control than explosive red. Curiosity is a driving characteristic of orange, and with it comes exploration of new things.

I recently visited the Biltmore (one of the Vanderbilt’s estates–the one in North Carolina). They had a whole inside gazebo filled with all kinds of orchids of many colors. Your shots of this orange beauty took me right back there! 🙂

I’ve been to the Biltmore. It’s a wonderful place. Their gardens are stunning.
It was before I started growing orchids. I may have to visit again. It’s been years.
This is an orchids that has never bloomed for me. It’s been an eye sore stalk of nothing
for years. Then, this year – this beauty. Go figure !!!!! XD
Glad it brought back good memories, Lorna. ❤

As an artist, I volunteered many times at a Down Syndrome school doing art therapy.
I found the children gravitataed to certain colors in their drawings. I was fascinated
by that and did research on colors. That was about 18 years ago but I still enjoy the
mystery of why we are drawn to certain colors. Thanks again …. XD

This is a plant that I’ve had for years and never bloomed.
At times, I thought I should discard it since it was just a dry
stalk. It didn’t have leaves either. I persevered and now I have
this beautiful bloom. It was a WOW moment for me. XD
